Give them all a ring? I found Jeremy from RPM to be the most helpful.

Like stated above, give all the companies a call and talk to the guys with a lot of first hand experience.

Is there are reason you are set on staying manual? At those power levels having an auto is usually the way to go.

I sold my stock T56 to help fund my new Tick level 5 TR6060 magnum trans. It shifts so much nicer than the stocker did it was nearly worth it for that. I already had a clutch. There is and Was no way I was going to switch to an auto. A lot of these auto guys aren't even making enough power to hurt a good T56 yet and they preach auto. (Look at current f-body 6 speed record holder it's a T56 in the 8's). I read a guys build here where he cut the ac off the car, stood up the radiator, cut the cowl for a big badass intake with elbow, made a race car out of a street car, turboed it made a whopping 590 ish RWHP. This is the same kind of guy giving advice here. So be careful what you read. By the way 950 RWHP here for over a year, planning to turn up the boost this spring.

Sounds good. Do u do high rpm shifts? Thats where iv read that the tr 6060 fail if misshift. The t56 is more for giving . Thats only real part that worries me. Im only goibg be around 6-630 whp na.. but going spray up to 300.. have u taken urs to track n put slicks behind it? What rpm launch did u do. Just dnt want spend 5k n it junk out on 1 misshift

The RPM isn't the problem. It's the missed shifts. I can't remember exactly I think it's the synchronizers aren't as thick or something and when you miss they are easier to tear up. Here is the thing I have noticed...with my T56 I had to be very conscious of hand placement and it would be different depending what gear I was going to. This new TR6060 doesn't care. I haven't (knock on wood) missed a shift yet. Shifting at 6800.

I have found myself looking at these also & wondering which way to go.
My 2nd gear syncro has gone & won't shift into 2nd under load while racing.

Well I love my stag 2 tick build t56. But I'm the type to replace stuff when new power is headed way before it breaks. Bc I can sell and or refresh n sell good quality parts that i would over power. Want something around stag 4 or so n not have worry about anything. I hate running same old stuff n wondering in back of my head when is it going to fail. Makes me not wanna push my car see what it can do. Not cool lol. I've been trying to learn tho but nobody chiming in. Might be selling my stag 2 soon help fund new one

The missed shift rounding the block teeth is the ONLY possible issue. The tr6060 shifts SO much more smoothly it's worth it. I would sell my perfectly good built T-56 for a tr6060 I just don't have the extra funds to do so.

The missed shift is more about how the engine and trans are mounted in the car. In my RX-7 the shifter has almost zero movement from the engine torquing or anything. I do not have solid mounts but there is VERY little movement in the drivline and it makes missing third damn near impossible. I just push the shifter forward and it's in third. The Pro 5.0 shifter has pretty strong centering springs though.

The internal fluid pump is another bonus for the really high power cars.

Internally I don't think there is any difference between the tr6060 and T-56 Magnum. One is OEM and the other is meant for hte aftermarket where the T-56 would sit.
