Default Multiple T-56 Problems. Need advice on the proper parts to buy

Okay, so my '98 model T-56 is pretty much hosed. It acts up a lot and it's time for me to put some money down on parts. I quite honestly know a good bit about engine parts, but pretty much next to nothing on transmission parts. Below are all of my problems..

The Problems:
-Difficulty getting it into first gear sometimes while at a red light.

-Difficulty getting it into first gear sometimes while the vehicle is moving and I'm trying to put it into first for a red light

-Difficulty getting it into second gear whenever the vehicle is rolling and I need to go to a lower gear. Feels like it's rubbing up against something and when I get it into gear, it moves this something off to the right just a bit. Yes, I know this isn't very technical at all, but I know next to nothing about the parts inside of the T-56.

-Difficulty shifting into 3rd gear when at high RPM's.

-Humming sound whenever I'm in 3rd gear

-Popping out of gear when in 4th and high RPM's

-No problems from 5th or 6th.

-Difficulty putting the car into reverse. I literally have to put it in with two hands.

-The shifter also wobbles from left to right in a large circular motion from the neutral position. It's done this, but as of late it is a LOT larger diamater.

I honestly want to do this once and do it right. I'd just like to know a list of parts that should help me out. I'm eyeballing the T56 Stage 2 Rebuild Kit from The Gear Box, however I feel like I will need a few more parts outside of that kit.

Here's a list of parts that are in that kit:

Upgraded 1-6 carbon fiber/kevlar blocker / synchronizer rings
Reverse synchronizer ring
Bronze fork pads for the 1-2 & 3-4
Billet keys for the 3-4 with upgraded springs
Billet keys for the 1-2 with upgraded springs
Bronze shifter bushing / isolator cup
1-2 synchronizer assembly
3-4 synchronizer assembly
Snap ring kit
3-4 steel shift fork
Stock 5-6 & reverse fork pads
Stock 5-6 & reverse keys & springs
front & rear seals
T56 transmission exploded view

Thank you guys for the help. I can't even express how much I appreciate it.

you could also have clutch issues, if its not fully disengaging you will have problems shifting gears.

Clutch is definitely on the parts list. Sorry for not listing it above. I completely forgot to list it. Any recommendation on a good clutch? I need something that will take a lot of daily driving and take a good beating.

A bad clutch or hydraulic system could cause just about all or your issues. That being said the damage to the trans is probably already done.

Popping out of gear is usually a combination of things.
Bent shift fork especially 3/4
Worn fork pads
Rounded blocker/syncro assembly teeth.

You may want to break down the trans before you just buy stuff because there could very easily be more or less than what you thought. I would also look into te upgraded 2nd gear.

Don't forget a shim kit and a dial gauge plus some threaded rod for counter shaft preload. I cannot remember the size or thread of the rod rigt now sorry.

The monster lvl 2 is a great street choice.

Lock and snap ring pliers are a must plus a LONG puller and a press. Do not be surprised of your 5/6 driven gear is eating into your mainshaft. The manshaft was too narrow from the factory by a couple thousands.

I used a spec stage 3 on mine. I loved the clutch. Very stiff. Drove it daily in San Diego...during rush hour.

Parts aren't determined pre-teardown. Get it apart and post pics if you have questions.

I have a built D&D with Monster level 3 and all of the other typical upgrades for sale. It is posted up in the classified section. BMR crossmember, tick hydraulics, MGW shifter, whole nine yards. Less than 3000 miles. Just something to consider.

UPDATE: Transmission ended up failing literally a few days later. Ended up buying about 2300 dollars worth of stuff from Tick Performance. Stage 1 Transmission Rebuild, Monster Stage 2 Clutch, New Flywheel, New Throw-Out Bearing, Tick Performance Adjustable Master Cylinder, GM Slave Cylinder, Tick Speed Bleeder, Clutch Alignment Tool.

Thank you guys for the help. Should be driving again in about two weeks.
