Default Finally removed the trans for the clutch swap..

30 degree weather is finally steady so I got to work on the car. Finally dropped the trans yesterday and got the stock clutch out. Plenty of material left on the disc, but pretty obvious it was not interested in holding the new power. Im assuming all the hotspots etc were from the dyno tune and the attempts at pulls on the way home, which it never really did without slipping completely.

Got a McLeod single disc I've had for a few years going in. Should handle this just fine. When I change things up I will probably have to invest in a RST/RXT in a few years.

No doubt, couldn't even enjoy the heads and cam before winter storage. Oh well, hopefully another week or so...

stock clutches in these cars are weak...you'll enjoy the new aftermarket setup, they can take abuse and IMO drive better than stock, especially with that Tick master
