The bushing (easy enough to see. Multiple ways to deal with that; most simple.)

Splines (is the yoke fully splined internally?)

Mainshaft splines (is this the broken trans. still? And thusly, is it torsionally tweaked?)

The yoke I was using is cut. I borrowed it from a local corvette shop and didn't realize it was shorter than stock because I have never seen a stock fbody yoke. I received my new driveshaft today with a normal ~4" yoke and it stopped 2.5" in.

The yoke will slide until it hits the tailshaft housing. I just ran into this installing a PST driveshaft on my car. You should have 3/4 of an inch of travel with the suspension loaded.

With the suspension hanging the yoke touches the dust boot on the tailshaft seal.

I have a t56 with a 9in.

With the stock set up I had 2.5 in of shaft on spline

With the 9in PST shaft I have 3.5 in of shaft on spline
