hey guys my buddy picked up a 99 ss slp package and wants to do the clutch, says he has trouble getting into 1st and reverse at times. I told him to first try to flush and change fluid in slave cylinder but he seems set on a new clutch. I told him to go with a ls7 clutch but seems like to do that you need to swap the flywheel. If he went with a ls6 clutch would he need to swap the flywheel or will it mount on the ls1 flywheel? thanks again

Your dead on about ls7. But ls6 assembly will bolt fine to an ls1 flyw.

I'd skip the LS7 or LS6 setup and go with a Monster or Spec.

How much power does he plan on making? Our Level 1 is better than a LS7 unit if he's going to spend the money on a new flywheel it might as well be a billet steel and a pressure plate that can hold more power. Don't hesitate if you'd like a quote or have any questions. Chris, 817-750-2000
