1937Coupe

Hello all, I just got my TR6060/T56 Magnum hybrid transmission back from the great guys at Tick Performance this week. About 15 years ago I adapted an LT1 style T56 to a 454 BBC and put it in a Camaro. The TR6060s are much better than the early T56s but have a flange for the output and the shifter is mounted to the car body making them difficult for old school hot rodders to use. I had a pretty rough TR6060 core and approached Tick with the idea of putting a T56 Magnum output shaft and tail housing on the TR6060. They were more than happy to help so I sent my core to them and in a few weeks had it back in AZ. I am very pleased with the conversion and the service. I plan to use it behind an old school SBC to there are a few more hurdles yet to overcome but I'll keep you updated on my progress.

Which adapter and bellhousing is that?

This TR6060 was from a 2010 Camaro so it a stock bell housing from GM. On the TR6060 the bell housing is also the front plate for the transmission.

A better way to have said it: it is a stock bell housing from Tremec for GM applications. There are TR6060s for Fords as well as other OEM applications.
