monster stage 3 help
Hey guys I got a monster stage 3 clutch I bought used. It came with flywheel pressure plate and disc and the only thing was the disc was getting pretty slim. I switched clutches due to a bigger build. I did have a center force stage 1 on my last build and it shifted like butter. Ever since my new build my car does not like second upshifting or downshifting. And reverse will fight me sometimes as well. When downshifting the only way it will go into second is if I make the movement to first gear with the shifter handle first. Could this be due to a clutch disc being warn to much? It does not slip at all. My other question is monster won't sell me just a disc since I'm not the original owner. I was told its a "liability". So is it possible to run any disc the right diameter? I know mixing up is not recommended just asking.

I just **** it on the floor lol. Not sure of the color. I can check tho. But its all new fluid I mean my build prob has 2000 miles on it. I did find my master cylinder is leaking a little on the inside of the fire wall. Its a Wildwood master I mounted and made brackets for. I mean its not leaking enough but maybe that's it.

Alright guys changed my whole master cylinder set up. I now have a McLeod hydraulic conversion kit. Bled it. Trans does the exact same thing. Shifts perfect on regular driving. Just can't grab them when driving it hard. And gear 2 when downshifting will not go in until u make a motion to first. Maybe that activates the synchros? Any thoughts

The clutch isn't going to select what gear it does and does not want to go into... if all gears were notchy and having issues I'd say clutch, since it's just two gears I hate to say it but you're looking at internal transmission issues.
What was the thickness of that disc?

Well the thing that's weird is that I had a center force in there and it worked good. When I went ls2 I put that monster clutch in. I'm going to pull the trans and measure everything. Its a stage 3 6 puck. U guys don't recommend shims for that do u? Stock tob.

More power = harder on parts, esp a stock T56. They are fragile to begin with, adding any kind of power to a stock T56 is asking for issues.
I'm betting you have an internal trans issue. If it was the clutch, you'd experience it in every gear.

You added an LS2 which assuming means you added more power correct? More power = harder on parts, esp a stock T56. Fragile to begin with? I personally know of 3 stock T56 (W/clutches) over 800rwhp. One of them is 2 yrs old with 1035rwhp.

That guy has no idea what he is talking about. Tremec under rated the T56. It's common knowledge that the T56 can hold around 650-700hp before you start snapping stuff. Of course there are always exceptions but I've seen tons of them abused day in and day out at or above that level with no issues.
