Exclamation ticking noise

Hi guys I have a ticking noise coming from the bellhousing. We used a scope to eliminate anything motor related and we also cant hear anything from the transmission area itself. Its prevalent in neutral with the clutch out. And sounds rotational in nature. Any Ideas?

I had a ticking noise one time coming from a customers car. Turned out that when he did a clutch swap he removed both the dust shields. The driver side was pushed in when he re-installed it and causing it to hit the flywheel. Just a thought.

Bump

I'm having this same issue. Started out of nowhere. Sounds like something in the motor but a stethoscope points towards the clutch area. Any ideas?

Pilot bearing maybe? Id pull the.trans and investigate if I where u. A bad pilot bearing will chew up the input shaft real quick.
