T56 won't go in 2nd at low rpm I just recently bought a 1999 trans am 6 speed manual and currently having a problem. When I am under 2500 rpm and try to shift into second I sometimes get a grind and gear won't go in, if I hammer it the gear will go in just fine. The other gears seem to be fine except I occasionally will get a 3rd gear grind but that is usually only when transmission is cold and is very seldom.
I replaced the transmission oil with Penzoil synchromesh and that didn't help. Also it is not the skip shift because that was disabled.

Forgot to mention that it grinds when I release clutch pedal. So basically I shift into second and when I release clutch the shifter will go back to neutral and gear wont engage.
