Default shifter ?

Guys Im working today and cant check numbers but suspense is killing me. I am suppose to have a t56 from a 2002 trans am. It has six bolts in shifter base but the Pro 5.0 I got last night came with only four. Whats up wrong shifter or tranny? Thanks

I've got a 02 trans am w/ 6 spd and my shifter base only has 4 bolts. Sounds like your trans is out of something else.

What is the difference in the trans other than shifter ie. Year mdl.

T56 shifter for the Fbody should only require four bolts...

No 4th gen F-bodies came with 6 bolt hole shifters (at least, 6 holes that can be seen from the top). Can you post a picture.

What little I have found on the tag numbers I think it is 2002 t56 that is a factory Hurst shifter.
