I'd have thought with them offering new slider mech's and machining the gears, space would be same really.
I guess this is maybe one benefit of having an older box lol ( hopefully )

I have no time unfortunately to finish my car so it's been down for more than 2 years. I do however have a serious stack of parts gathered, one of them is in fact a faceplated GTO trans. I wanted the first gear to remain so Liberty made a bastardized version from a trans offered by tremec but never offered in a new car with the gearset but it was a ford trans. so they had to make a 300m 26 spline input. I have not used it yet though, soon I hope.

ponyhater27 - yeah, I remember you!
Well, we survived Drag Week last week and put almost 1200 miles on it with no issues. Beat the crap out of it everyday at the track. I was having issues launching all week long and only running NA, but finally got a 10.99 out of it on saturday... but only on a 1.65 60'. Its definitely got more in it, but its been a blast so far. The car is yanking the tires and then bogging, not sure if part of it is due to the aluminum flywheel or not.

Awesome! Congrats on finishing drag week! Sounds like your off to a good start and looks like it does have a lot more left in it!

Well after some issues with customs, I finally got my gears back from Liberty
Start to finish, including all postage time it was 5 weeks. Considering 1 week either way was travel time....Liberty's estimate of 3 weeks for their work was spot on.
Their workmanship on my gears has been excellent !! Just need to get the damn thing built now !! Work's going to get in the way of that though for next week or so :
