Default Monster Clutch is the ****!!!! period, hands down the best clutch

Ok so I purchased a monster level 3 back in 2009 or 2010 (can't remember lol) because my single disk rps took a **** after 1200 miles. I was reading the reviews of the monster and was thinking that this would be the clutch for me since i is known for launching 4000lb gto's at 6000+ rpms with no problem.

Well after 4+ years , over 20,000 street driven miles, 2 blown wavetrac 35 spline units from moser, over 300 track passes at 6000-6900 rpm launches ( I stopped county my slips after 300) I finally blew this clutch last night! It kinda sucked because me and my friends rented out the track for the day and I only got four runs in before the failure but hey, it was still a fun day and I can't complain about the life that I have had with this clutch. Best $$$ I ever spent on this car

Thanks Steve with monster and all the guys over there, keep up the good work!! I'm going to try and pull this clutch soon to what the damage is, and if Steve at monster would like, I can send you guys the clutch for research and development ( but I doubt you guys will need it )

Thanks again for reading and I will be getting me a monster clutch again as soon as I get the funds. "because race car"

These are the kinds of threads that make my happy I went with Monster for my clutch. It's going to be a while before the car sees any 6000+ rmp launches with more than 450hp, but it's nice knowing that my clutch will be able to hold it when that time comes.

tyler have you tried launching at 4000 to 4500rpm? I use to launch at 6k and I found out that I actually cut a better 60 and better time launching at my max tq. easier on drivetrain and makes me faster.

Great company, We use their dual disc in our twin turbo Z06 and love it. No slip issues at all, No dead clutch under long pulls. Great company, Great clutch.

Yea I have tried it at that rpm and it just bogs hard. My gears are a 370 and it's not enough. I need like a 410 or 430

So all that happened was the clutch disk hub/ springs and rivets. So hopefully I can just buy a clutch disc from monster and be good.

Discs don't just come apart, typically it's a pilot bearing failure. It can be many things, but, if it's a manufacturer defect the disc comes apart almost immediately after the installation - if you find yourself with a lot of abuse and mileage on a unit that has come apart chances are you've got input shaft/pilot bearing/torque tube issues that need to be addressed. Otherwise, you'll be doing it again.

Good news is existing Monster customers can purchase separate parts from us.

yes we can purchase individual parts but only if we send old ones back ( found out the hard way after throwing the disk away and trying to order anotherone). I re installed another disk and pressure plate but didn't change pilot bushing. hopefully the clutch was just extremply worn it was worn down to the rivetes. new clutch is having no issues but I guess if it comes apart like last one did then I have a issue. I didn't replace pilot bearing because it was replaced on the last clutch install. only time will tell LOL in the mean time I will still cut some low *** sixtys and hope this stage 4 don't snap this t56 LOL

You are correct, our insurance requires that. If we sold Chinese things like others and didn't care about the customer it would be different.

Keep us posted how it goes, glad to hear it's back together!

The level 1-3 usually have a 3 to 7% stiffer pedal than stock, most people don't notice the difference. Where is the engagement point on the pedal throw?

I'm on day 2 with my stage 2. I love it. Smooth as silk, predictable, and the pedal is much lighter than I expected.
