Shop can't get parts for T56?

Shop can't get parts for T56? A local reputable performance shop has been taking months to get parts for my brothers t56, it took 4-5 months to get an input shaft, that came in June. Now their waiting on the output shaft. I feel bad bc they were working on my engine ( which will have been there 9months Oct 27th), and their shop manager made it seem like they could tighten my bros t56 up no problem. They do great performance engines but I was gonna have him take his car to a dedicated transmission shop. Well he spoke with them about just purchasing an RPM t56 and now they seem to be salivating at that idea bc they don't even want to work on these things anymore based on conversation. I purchased my lev 2 4l60e from RPM but I really don't want my bro dropping that kind of coin. $1500 is covered under warranty, is there another less expensive option, his engine is completely stock and I know those t56's can take a beating.
