Default RPM speed t56 Short throw shifter

I saw these for sale on ws6store for 70 bucks.. way cheaper than most short throw shifters.. and I know the general consensus is MGW is the best but I was just wondering if anyones used one of these and how are they? Or what about the Fidanza shifters?

Just go with an MGW. Seriously. You will not regret it and it is worth the cash.

That looks like a stock non Hurst shifter. If you pull off both shifter boots you can tell for sure, a non Hurst shifter has a stamped sheet metal base, a Hurst shifter has a ~3/8's metal plate base.

This^

Last thing you want to do is mis-shift at high speed and blow up your clutch/transmission because of a crappy shifter (ask me how I know ).

It'll be really stiff the first few weeks after install but after you break it in you'll see why we all say it's worth it

i'm very happy with my hurst pro billet. it's taller than most, but has a very short gate. it's an extremely well put together piece.

I would take it for at least an hour of around town driving to get it broken in. It does feel a bit stiff when you first get it and takes some time to get used to, but it is awesome to shift with.

any shifter with good centering springs should do you fine honestly. i don't see the hype of the MGW shifter myself.

Then you probably haven't used one.

I've had the stock Hurst shifter, one with a Lou's short stick, and the MGW. The MGW is FAR superior to any of those.

admittedly, i have not. i went with the hurst pro billet per recommendations from some other very fast t56 guys. it works REALLY well

don't mind the forcing it into reverse at the beginning of the vid. the car is carbed and doesn't have an ecu to turn the reverse lockout solenoid off.

Good deal. Is there something you can install to lock out reverse? I may be wrong, but I think with the B&M Ripper shifter, it came with something you could install that locked out reverse.
