Default T56 mag vs. 4/5 spd Dogbox

I am looking for a trans for our project, we are expecting 800rwhp min moving up to the 1100 - 1300 rwhp by next season. I know the Dogbox will be fine to do either, i am wondering for the price point if it is more cost effective and a better choice because we want to be able to use the car on the street for a few months.

Thanks for your advice.

What kind of car, what do you usually use it for?

Jerico box is probably a better investment if you don't need an overdrive on it.

The lighter the car.... the less carnage on parts.

We run a T56 Magnum behind an 1100rwhp 3100lb LS9 turbo RX-7 without issues. Totally streetable. The RXT twin disc drives awesome. Ours is a modified version for more HP.

Will a Jericho/GForce dog box shift faster.... yes. Will it drive you nuts on the street because of the whine..... yes.

Any manual trans at the power level you are looking at will require service and won't be bulletproof over time.

Yum, gear noise! Main reason I'm putting a Jerico in my LS powered Rambler. Shouldn't be too bad in 4th gear as power is transmitted directly through locked shafts, the gears are just along for the ride...

G-Force can build you a dog-ring T56 with a 9310 gear set and helical cut gears. Win-win.
