Second gear lock out at higher RPM's, manual newb here
Did a little research and want to make sure I'm on the right path...
Just bought this car, trying to work out the small issues before I do anything else.
No grinds in any gears under normal driving, when I give it full throttle, second gear (about half the time) tries "locking me out". No other issues with any other gear, third almost acts like it wants to, but hasn't locked me out yet. Trying to not **** anything up by continually doing it or just muscle ******* it, but I'm just getting annoyed at this point and would like to fix it before it gets any worse.
This weekend I'm going to change the fluid and attempt the drill mod, if playing with that doesn't work, I'm looking at either seeing if a new master/slave fixes it, and then if that doesn't work, I'm may be looking at blocker ring damage correct?
As best to my knowledge, factory master/slave cylinders, ls6 clutch, 127k miles.

To be clear, this isn't something that could be caused by a clutch correct? Shifts/holds without slipping in all other gears, engagement/pedal feels normal, barely a bolt on car with mediocre power.

your problem sounds like the typical LS6 "won't shift at high RPM" issue....it seems most resolve with using a Monster clutch and Tick MC
My $02 would not be to just do the "drill" mod. something is not right be it hydraulics, clutch or tranny so best to determine which part(s) are causing the problem
Others with LSx clutches hopefully will chime in
you could do a fluid flush/bleed of the hydraulics to see if your problem gets better
you could ping SNL who is a sponsor here and ask ?'s
