Default future of shifting for T56?

This could make things very interesting if it's built to handle abuse and priced to sell. Shift **** is a little ricey but the concept as a whole is cool

He said "if" it's priced to sell, which I'm personally thinking is wishful thinking, but I'm curious as hell.

Jeremy, I'll be getting in touch shortly about my rear diff and trans on the C5...

I get this has a big benefit with absolutely no chance of missing shifts but doesn't that pro 5.0 shifter have an offset mechanism to prevent missed shifts too?

on the link it says:

"There are no wires to connect and no adjustments to make for a basic fitment ."

but in the pic there is a wire coming down from shift ****....so what would that wire be...reverse lockout??

The wires on the shifter in the picture are for the load cell shifter **** for a torque cut module to pull timing for WOT upshifts with a faceplated transmission.

I used a similar product on my old Nissan a few years ago, the idea is great but it shifted between gears so fast that the stock synchros in the box struggled to keep up, and this did cause the synchros to wear pretty quick. Would be better if you had it on a dog box. This version might be a lot better than the Japanese version I used though and maybe the T56 will take the abuse better than an old Nissan box.

From what I read on the link in the first post this does sound quite a bit better than the Jap shifter, I couldn't select neutral between gears with it just go up or down the box. N12345 and 54321N.

This maybee a dumb question but how would you down shift using this shifter would you have to come to a stop each time and and start from first,or go threw all the gears then it will begin to down shift

You're missing a digit there.
A load cell shift **** by itself is hard to find for less than a grand. I'd guess if this thing makes it to market, it's going to be expensive....even without the load cell.

Just got an email from the owner at S1Sequential. He'd like to come in here and she's a bit more light on the product.

Hopefully we hear from him soon.

That would be my guess, minus the load cell.

Pull back to upshift, push forward to downshift. So if you are in 4th and want to downshift into 2nd, step on the clutch, tap the shifter forward two times, let the clutch out.

I've been watching this one. Load cell **** hooked up to a lingenfelter box means full throttle up shifts. I fail to see how this will work well with a synchro equipped trans. Seems like you would need a dog box.
