Default viper output shaft or alternative needed

I was planning on sending out my spare t56 to get faceplated and get the viper output shaft done but I'm being told from some companies that it's discontinued or on back order.....so what's everyone doing now for a upgraded output shaft

You can look into the SSR shaft. I'm biting the bullet and sticking with a brand new stock one...It seems like people are running the stock piece in the 650-700hp range without any issues. Your other option is the GForce part...

You can talk to Jeremy at RPM transmission, they have something in the works and i do not remember who they were working with on an aftermarket piece but he told me sometime late in the summer they should be getting the new shaft.

A while back, but you didn't mention calling them so I figured I'd give another option

Yeah...I called them and they made it seem like the only thing they currently offered would require me using all there part's and would shoot the part's bill well over 3k.....they are very proud of there part's but at those prices I can get a magnum

Might be worth a magnum these days, I built my t56 about a year ago with parts from 3 different ones. If I break something I'm pretty sure at this point I wouldn't be able to find parts to fix it and I'd be better off with a magnum.

It should help. At that power level I'd seriously be shopping for a magnum...you can definitely recoup some of the cost by selling your t56 even if it's in rough shape.

This is getting scary! The parts are dwindling fast! Why can't someone R&D a 300M shaft!

Amp on here currently is making aftermarket gears with good success, are about to release an input shaft and say a mainshaft is expected next year.that doesnt help epople who need it NOW. however my guess is with a year or two parts for a t56 will not be hard to find thanks to the aftermarket

I went 9.35@163mph on a stock T56 Magnum, modified RXT (more clamping pressure), turbo Ls9 in my sig. I haven't launched it with boost yet but it has taken 20psi in 4th/5th gear which is around 1200-1300rwhp I'm guessing.

The Magnum shifts super nice and has gears made of stronger material including the input/main shaft, the case is a beefier casting, and just needs a shorter driveshaft, setback shifter (you can modify the one provided), and a VSS connector as they are different. There is no provision for a stock torque arm.

I have sold many of these transmissions and everyone loves the results. 5th gear is also .80 to keep you more in your powerband if you do some high speed type of racing. 1-4th is same gearing as a stock '94-02 Fbody. Perfect for high HP stuff.
