Default McLeod clutch comparison, Need Help!!!

So I called McLeod and asked them this question and one of their techs exact words were "we can't answer that question" which I find hard to believe so hopefully someone can help me out.

I bought a street twin clutch off my friend for my 02 z28 with a t-56. It came off his 400 small block that was paired to a 2002 ss t-56 that he had in his nova. I assumed since the tranny was the same the only thing I would have to do is get the McLeod flywheel for an ls1. When I got the flywheel the bolt holes for the clutch didn't line up. The part number for the clutch I have is 63001b-00-07 and when I looked up the part number for an ls1 street twin I got 63048-00-07. I'm assuming it won't work but I just wanted to check on here because the tech at McLeod blew me off.
