Another clutch thread...
First things first, yes i did search for this. I am still split on which clutch to get..
Trying to decide between the Monster LT1-SC twin and the Mcleod RXT twin. Leaning slightly towards the Monster currently.
It will be going in my 3600ish pound 01 WS6 5.3/pt7675 car. Shooting for 750 or so with plans of a different motor next winter aiming at 900+. JUst looking for some opinions before i pull the trigger. All input is welcome. Thanks!

Thanks for your input! The car will see a fair amount of drag strip time, and I've read that the 28lb flywheel is better for that situation.
My last setup was a cam only ls1 with a textralia oz700 and 18lb flywheel. I really had to slip that clutch on takeoff otherwise the car would want to die. I figured that probably has something to do with the flywheel, could be wrong though.

I wouldn't worry too much about MOI on a 900 HP engine. Steel is FAR stronger than aluminum. With that kind of power, I'd err on the side of strength.
I do know alot of guys run monster clutches with the 18 pound flywheel, and it's around 6 pounds total lighter than stock and drives pretty well. Not sure if the textralia is even lighter than the monster making it too light? Or else your cam gave up too much low end grunt.
