Default lakewood/quicktime bellhousing alighnment questions

I havent seen any issues on these and is why I bought one. trying to keep a long story short I will just give you guys the condensed version.

I bought a quicktime bellhousing for my ls1/t56 went to install it and only 3 bolt holes were close enough to even start the bolts. some not even in the same zip code

after talking to quicktime/lakewood they tell me to return it to the vendor..

now 4weeks later I finally got a replacement and it looks slightly different from the first bellhousing... bolt holes are drilled much closer but not quite as close when compared to the factory bellhousing which fits no issues all holes are dead center as you would expect.

I think cleaning up the paint in the bolt holes will be enough to bolt it to the block and check the runout with the front of the trans bolted on.

if there is any adjustments needed im pretty certain i will have to grind the side of the bolt holes to shift it. is this normal on the ls1/t56 using the quicktime bellhousing??

both bellhousings have same build date

as for the differences

the new one i just got has an extra bolt hole next to the very top one.

the new one i just got has a stamping 8020C15S

the first had stamping 8020 G-14

side note both block plates matched perfectly to all the bell housing holes.

I hate to say it but that company really went to hell when it got bought by Prestolite. It was a much better company when the founder ran it.
