Default Replace flywheel bolts?

Are the flywheel bolts reusable? Or should I order new ones?

And I mistakenly posted in the auto section, but is there special thread locker needed for the flywheel?

re-used plenty before, i just use some normal Wurth loctite as I have it here.

That said if you're just planning ahead, new bolts are cheap so why not replace ?

If doing it now and you have no bolts...just keep on going

Pressure plate or flywheel to crank bolts?
I prefer to use new, but they are reusable.
The crank bolts have a sealant on them to prevent oil leaks through the crank flange. $10 is cheap insurance to prevent pulling the trans.

Flywheel to crank bolts. Any chance you have a part number for them?

I have to double check, but I assumed the pressure plate included bolts.

Clutches don't include bolts. ARP makes very nice hardware, FW and PP bolts are the perfect place for a upgrade.

Really there is no need for an "upgrade" with PP bolts, they dont need to be anything fancy and they dont fail in the first place.

The arp sounds good, but I'm assuming they don't have any sealant on them... Which is the only appeal to me for the GM bolts.

I went with ARP. After dropping 1k on a new clutch and hydraulics, what's another $30?

Did you just use the ARP moly lube? Or did you use a thread sealer of some kind?

You must use sealer on the flywheel bolts on an LS engine, unless you want the risk of oil getting into the flywheel/clutch area

I just used red loctite, 1500 miles on the clutch so far without leaks. I probably didn't have to replace the PP bolts, but if I'm not mistaken the Flywheel bolts are designed to stretch on install?

What would you recommend as a sealer?

As mentioned earlier, I just used some loctite.

Up to you as to what's available near you. But bog standard green type loctite/thread lock would be fine.

Sorry. I lost track of who was posting what. I wonder if blue loctite is just as able to "seal" as the green?

Just use the GM flywheel/crank bolts with sealant already on. Add some locktite....done....
Unless your spinning 7000 rpm.

I'll have to double check, but I thought my McLeod kit had ARP bolts in a bag in there (along with a few studs). I just assumed they were the pressure plate bolts
