Did you build this thing for drag racing, or for handling (even with the big LSx lump up front), and just want to see "what she will do" in the 1/4, despite the road race type suspension??

Also, I believe the difference between the 8 cylinder lump and the stock 4 cylinder one is about 40 lbs. Most of the weight was picked up from the T56 and 3" duals...so about the same as having a passenger in the car. A small price to pay for an additional 350hp/tq over stock

A little of everything. I just build it to be a well rounded, fun street car.

But that HAD TO BE an iron block 4 pot, correct??
Do they still use iron blocks , even in the new one?

I used to work for ptg bmw team. So we were cleaning house and i paid nothing for my tilton. I did have to buy the button, auto flexplate, qtr master hydraulic release bearing to make it work. Thise cost around $600 back in 07. The car drives fine. These are torquey engines. No need to rev the **** out of it to get goin.

I got the d trim. There's actually only 2 clutches the r trim normally comes with a lighter flywheel while the d is heavier. But in ls cars they only make 1 flywheel so the r and the d are the same. The x-trim is a triple disk idk if the fractions are any different however. Hios buddy ran one but I suspect because of the 3 disks it's going to be harsher than the twin disk d trim
