Default Best place for t56 rebuilds?

I am looking for both a reliable & cost effective reference. I am 90% leaning torwards tick performance this month shipping my t56 out to be upgraded and rebuilt but before I do, I am open to options. I plan to do a lvl 2 rebuild for my 700rwhp turbo build over this winter.

I don't drag the car often (couple times during summer) and put less than 1000 miles on the car. Suggestions?

Rockland Standard Gear in NY has a good reputation, I just dropped my trans there. Getting the Magnum change over. It's nearly $3300. T56 parts hard to come by they tell me.

+1 for Tick. I had a nice experience with them. My level II cost about twice as much as I had planned after having to replace some gears, shafts and bearings.

fccs, I'm sure you've seen the $150 Winter Discount that we're offering until the end of the year: http://us2.campaign-archive1.com/?u=...6&e=96fd05e735

Keep in mind that our T56 & TR-6060 Rebuilds are all shipped for FREE both to us and from us.

Thank you for your business, I'm glad your experience was a positive one. For anybody wondering how the rebuild ended up costing so much more than expected: the nature of a rebuild is that we re-use the hard parts (gears, shafts, etc) inside your transmission. If any of the hard parts are not good for re-use, we let you know what we find and figure out the best course of action.

No complaints Joey. The trans shifts well and the rebuild was well worth the investment.

Yea Tick is who I am leaning torwards. They use good parts and are the cheapest I have discovered. Plus no one seems to have anything bad to say about them!

Rockland Standard Gear built me a monster of a trans for my CTS-V. I love it and they weren't the *least bit* concerned when I told them the car makes north of 800whp in a 4000+lb car already and I had every intention of hitting it with a healthy nitrous shot. George told me to go for it and I wasn't going to break it. So far so good and it's taken a beating!

As a matter of fact I just ran the first 9 second pass in a manual trans CTS-V on friday!

9.98 @ 145.86 mph!

Thank you for your service! Your Military service qualifies you for free enrollment into #TeamTick, our official sponsorship program. Details here: http://www.tickwholesale.com/teamtick-faq/

...Unfortunately, #TeamTick does not include any discounts on T56 Rebuilds (we have to be so cheap to be competitive.) Luckily, we're having a $150 off sale through the end of the year and shipping on the transmission is free both ways: http://us2.campaign-archive1.com/?u=...6&e=96fd05e735

#TeamTick membership does offer you discounted pricing on our hyrdraulics, but does not include Monster Clutches at this time. That said, Monster Clutches are on holiday sale @ $125 off retail right now, so between your #TeamTick membership and the Monster holiday sale, you might come out cheaper than you would with our COMPLETE Clutch & Hydraulic Upgrade Package anyway: http://www.tickperformance.com/tick-...camaro-firebird/
