Default Shim stack up question

Ok I've got a cts-v t56 with the matching bell housing. I bought the Katech spacer from Tick so I can use a ls7 clutch. I did the slave bearing work sheet out of the complete swap manual for GM LS series engines. Measurement A bearing face to mounting face of the trans is 3 1/2" and measurement B trans mounting surface to installed clutch finger tip is 2 1/2" so that leaves me with 1" even. I bought the Katech spacer because I already had a new cts-v slave and my math is with the spacer installed. My question is can I shim behind the spacer to get my proper travel or .600-.700 ? Reason I ask is on Ticks website they say you can't use the shims with a cts-v. I'm running the spacer which is basically a large shim what would be the problem running the shims behind it to get my correct stack up? Thanks guys I'm learning as I go.

One thing I've realized is the cts-v bell housing is approximately 5/16" longer than a f-body bell housing. If i had a f-body bell housing I'd be right on the money but shims are lots cheaper than a f-body bell housing.
