T56 grinds 1-2 locks out of 3rd WOT

Default T56 grinds 1-2 locks out of 3rd WOT

Ive been chasing this issue for while I cant figure it out. Let me start off with if I leave the car sitting for 2-3 weeks it becomes very hard to shift at first. Once I drive 5-10 minutes it starts to shift like normal. In neutral the gearbox is smooth as butter and shifts like butter during normal driving. At WOT it will grind 1-2 pretty bad. At times it will lock me out of 3rd completely or grind into it at WOT. If I slow shift it at WOT sometimes it will grind and sometimes it wont. Every other gear is fine. I already replace the master cylinder with the Tick master it hasn't changed anything but make the clutch peddle a little firmer. Fluid level is where it should be, no chatter at all with the clutch and no clutch slip at all at WOT. I was told the clutch is stock from the previous owner. Car has 74k on it. Im not sure if I should replace the slave cylinder or should I start thinking of getting a new clutch? Internal trans issue?

Does the clutch peddle ever hang up or stick to the floor? The stock pressure plates are crap and often block wot shifting . Second gear seems to get banged up too and often needs replacing .

it has stuck to the floor once during some aggressive driving but thats it.

I would say your clutch needs replacing . What type of transmission fluid is in the gear box ? I found synthetic oil was a little notchy when cold .

im not sure whats in the gear box i haven't changed it since i got the car last year. yea i agree i think its gonna have to come apart

Your transmission will most likely need a rebuild soon. When you decide to do this, it's a good decision to knock out the clutch at the same time.

Slave cylinder. Change it, get a RAM, also get a tick bleeder hose kit. And while in there upgrade the clutch and even the flywheel if you have some extra money left.

picked up a monster stage 2 with lightweight fly wheel, bleeder, new slave, trans mount, ARP bolts, misc, the other day its gonna come apart soon

Get the Tick Master Cylinder if you haven't already, just read up on the adjustment of it. don't go through what I am currently ! I have a thread explaining my situation, there is some good information in it, just an FYI

i already installed the tick master. granted i am not 100% sure its adjusted properly but the issue was there before and its only gotten worse since so i dont think its the issue. ill look into your thread thanks
