Damn, Think My Clutch Is Done
So I am tearing the 'vette down to put twins on it and refresh the engine while I am at it. When I pulled the clutch, my heart sank a little...Going to clean it up a little better and give it a good inspection, but I think it may be time to replace it. It holds strong and never slipped on me, but it might just be a matter of time...What do you think?

FW & PP don't look bad. Hard to tell by the pic of the disc. If the rivets are about at the surface of the pucs...than it is almost worn out.
Given it is a 6 puc disc clutch, doesn't look like it ate up the PP or FW bad. Hit those with some emery cloth
looks like a Monster clutch...ping SNL on this site

I recommend RPS. You'll pay for it. But only once

if you are anywhere near that "RWHP" you need a multi disc clutch....maybe even a 3 disc.

The RPS is only $2500 the first time. Rebuilds are less than half that but the last a lot longer that other clutches that hold the same power. At least that's what I've gathered from others experience. I have and LT1-S and it's a great clutch just heavy even with the lighter flywheel. Just a note. You cannot use ARP flywheel bolts with the LT1 clutches. They are too tall.
Plus with the RPS, you don't have to get the carbon carbon version. Single sided carbon is a bit cheaper just not as nice.

Our DYAD dual disk sound like it would be what you're looking for. It drives just like a stock clutch around town and rated up to 1300 crank ft/lbs. You can scoop the entire kit with clutch, flywheel, hardware, and bearings for about $1700. If you happen to have any questions about it, feel free to shoot us a PM!

We would agree. Definitely some uneven wear happening there.

He already bought a clutch, rated for more power, and he spent less.......
