Default AWD 5 speed manual on ls motor?

I'm looking for an awd manual transmission, as far as I can find, it's the trannys used In chevy canyons. my question is will they bolt up to a 5.3 motor?

No production CO/CA used the right bellhousing pattern. Their trans. is related to others made by Aisin that have been adapted to the Chevy BH B.pattern. None of the versions have gear ratios that are sports-car / light weight ideal but if you're building a light truck, cool. Don't quote me, but look at the box used in the (N. America live front axle) Cherokee still not the right B.h. but probably easier to find since " would you like an automatic or an automatic?" has been the rule on new cars in the CO/CA era.

The gearing might not be the best but what about a Nv3500? The awd part will be the transfer case that you choose to run. If you are not making a ton of power how about a built T5 world class ?

motors putting down 500 on base tune just to break in motor and will be tuned up to 900-1100 hp

I heard about someone mating an LS1 to an STI transmission (they're very strong), but the engine was mounted very far forward.

At that power level I would do a tr6060 with adapter for 4wd/awd setup.

They are significatly weaker than a stock T56, or anything comparable.
