Street car, street use, street tyres....traction will be your biggest issue by far.

Richard sometimes has some clutches in stock, this advert was from a while back though, and for the base T1 model

Although when I bought the T2 version, it was also rated around 875....it has taken well above that though for me.

So if it is driven often and never drag raced on sticky tyres ( at a proper strip ) then I'd be inclined to stick with an organic style setup. Whether that's McLeod, ACT, Monster, Mantic etc etc, entirely up to you.

Paddle style clutches can be very good these days, but they are never as silky smooth as organic.

Some good info here.

I went with the "McLeod Street Twin Clutch Kit w/Steel Flywheel, 1200 HP,
I guess that makes it the RST cause it has Organic disc.

I have a Trem 6060 "Magnum" and twin 6266's, forged stock displacement 5.3. in a 350z.
I did a good amount of research before I bought the clutch/flywheel.
Alot of members on here have had the clutch and trans well passed 1000hp with good luck as a highway car. I am using a GM clutch salve with a 7/8 bore tilton/wilwood MC.

Only the RXT is rated at 1200 I believe ?

RST is rated lower.

One thing to note about the LS9 clutches and the offerings from Monster. As they appear to use stock OEM covers....pedal effort should be exactly that. Like stock. Well LS9 types are stock obviously. Katech sell them or I think Monkfish in the UK might stock some too.
I think they do require a later bellhousing though, as these must be taller or something vs earlier cars.

Some of the other makes can have heavier pedals. Although most shouldnt pose any issues to anyone with such a car anyway

Skip the RXT and go straight to a Mantic 9000 twin. I make the power you are shooting for and this clutch has been taking a beating for the last three years.

McLeod RXT here, from talking to a few guys which vettes it came down to either the mantic clutches or the McLeod and with a few close friends having no issues with the mcleods that's the route I chose.

The LS7 clutch runs an LS2 style flywheel. The McLeod twin discs run an LS1 style (flat). RST is rated at 800rwhp.... RXT 1000rwhp. Do the the RXT and never look back.

I run the 1200HD version of the RXT (still a twin disc) and it is holding approx 1400hp flywheel in 5th gear.
Light pedal pressure and non grabby. Love it! Takes all the abuse.

RPS full carbon street twin gets my vote. Smoothest clutch I've ever had in the car, mine is 100% street car by the way.

It currently has an LS7 clutch if that makes any difference?

I would like to get the Street twin as from what i have read, that's the best one to get. Looking at running around 900rwhp. At some point in the future, I expect i will need to upgrade the box to a Magnum. Is that clutch interchangeable?

I was going to buy from Summit Racing unless there is somewhere that is alot cheaper? As the turbo kit i am buying is from a guy in Florida so getting all parts shipped to him first, he will then pack it all up and sent it off for me together.
Thank You for your interest in McLeod Racing. At minimum I would recommend the standard RXT rated to 1000Hp/tq at the crank. Part number will be 6405507M, if you feel you may grow from there then the RXT 1200 with the higher clamp load pressure plate may be your best option. That part number is 6405507HD. If you have any further questions feel free to email me at billym@mcleodracing.com

Kind Regards,
