Default TR6060 backup light switch wiring

I've swapped a TR6060 6 speed manual along with the LS3 from a 2012 Camaro into my 1991 Chevy 1/2 ton truck and having an issue getting the backup lamp to activate the backup lamps on the truck. I found the wire going to the PCM connector X1 pin 8 that traced back to the switch on the tranny. The problem is it puts out 12v all the time and drops to 0v when I put it in reverse but the truck needs to see 12v when it's in reverse to turn on the lights. Is there a different switch or adapter I can throw in there that will reverse the output?

Shameless plug but you can read my build thread here: https://ls1tech.com/forums/conversio...-91-c1500.html

Thanks,
Rock

You can run a relay to reverse the polarity

Thanks, I was coming to post and ask that question about using a relay. After thinking about it this week that's what I came up with, just gotta see how strong my google-foo is to figure out the wiring.
