Default T56 Magnum Install, couple questions
Finishing up my install tomorrow but had a question about this cutout/window between the bellhousing and trans. Is this normal, or is there a plastic shield or something I can install?

Pic was taken from another thread but mine has the same cutout.

It is normal. The mid plate is universal. That cutout is for a mechanical clutch fork. It is nothing to be worried about.

As Jeremy said, it's for mechanical forks. I have not noticed it on mine probably as I have changed to a quicktime bellhousing!
