Corvette T56 Identification using Tag
So long story short is I bought a Lt1 Style t56 with the parts to convert to Ls1 style only to find all gears and syncros to be rusted bad from a flood.
So I bought a 2004 Corvette C5 non-Z06 trans with like 60k for $500 plus $150 shipping because the car was rear ended and the housing was cracked on the trans. But they still stand behind a warranty that it is good if I weld the crack. I don't care about the crack I need the guts for my ls1 t56
Well yesterday it arrived. Its not cracked and the trans looks damn near brand new. I opened it up to inspect and all gears show next to no wear. Syncros look great. So I'm happy but have no clue what this is out of. I know its a 2008 but what car is it out of ?
I can tell L0272 = Nov 02 2007 2nd shift but nothing else.
