Default psshhh sound when pushing clutch in

i have a 6 speed 98 camaro ss and it's been making a pssshhh sound. It only makes the sound when the clutch is pushed in. my first thought was a vacuum leak but i have no loss of power in any way and i still have very good miles per gallon. The sound comes from the front drivers side. Thanks in advance for any help given.

I'm still learning the more intricate things about fixing cars. Do I have to take anything off to check that.

awesome thanks. a question that popped into mind is do i have to worry about it destroying or seriously harming anything if it is the dust cover.

Nope. I took mine off to help get fresh air in the bellhousing and prevent dust buildup. it's how I recognized the sound you typed. LOL
