MGW shifter...Can I use factory bolts?
Looking to buy a used mgw shifter and it doesn't come with the bolts to bolt it down to the trans. Can I use the bolts on my OEM shifter ( non Hurst )? Or do I neee to order them from mgw? Don't want to mess anything up.
Thanks,
DW

Thanks for the info/pics. How long have you had that shifter? I seen the mgw comes with a couple different sticks. The one you have looks like it could easily be shortened, I hope that is what mine comes with.

Mine is the same way and it never gets easier unfortunately. One thing that did help though was doing the shift detent (anti-venom) mod. Made engagement a little easier in all gears including reverse.

Personally I upgraded to the Hurst Billet Plus Shifter and I love it easy to get into all gears because its still respectfully tall enough try purchasing a little bit taller stick and I bet it will ease going all the way over to Reverse, and also did you by chance do a plug in skip shift harness? If so becaerful you might have plugged it into the reverse lock out harness I'v had that happen to me the harness runs along side of the trans and they look the same
