Default Need help finding a stupid little part

The little nylon/teflon (whatever material it is...) shifter bushing on the bottom of my shifter, broke in half last night. I went to get a new one today, and no part store had them, so I had to go to the dealership. Well the dealership wants 60 friggin dollars for the whole shifter offset assembly and won't sell me the bushing by itself. I went to another dealership....same thing. So I ended up going to the ford dealer and buying a T-45 shifter bushing for $5 with hopes that it's the same or that I can make it fit, but even it won't be in until monday. Anybody know where to get a bushing for the T-56 for less than 60 bucks????

I *believe* the Dealer will sell you a T-5 bushing (from a '91 Z28 with a 305 / 5-speed, for example). Same part, but just the white bushing.

Or, Thunder Racing has them for about $5 (I've seen them post up before about this).

Hope that helps.

Thanks, I'll try that after work today. I also didn't realize that '03 cobra's have the T-56 in them, so I'm gonna try ford again also and see if they have that in stock.

The T45 bushing is the correct one for your T56.
