Default Cruising speed with t56 and 3.73s and 4.10s

Hey I have a 4l60e and the 3.23s. At 85mph I'm right at 2500rpm. I have been entertaining the thought of a M6 swap, and would install either 3.73s or 4.10s. What would my rpm be at 85mph in 6th with the 3.73s and the 4.10s? Thanks alot.

You are breaking the speed limit

70mph is around 2k for me with 4.10's

I don't think 85 is around 2500rpms. Maybe 2200rmps.

Thanks fellas, so I would still get as good or better mileage than I do now, sounds good to me.

gas mileage is more figured by your driving style. but of course 4.10's wont be as good as 3.42 on the highway.

Last weekend I took a 350 mile round trip on the parkway and averaged about 85mph. I got between 22-23 mpg. So I was seeing if a 6spd with the steep gears would be at a higher cruising rpm or not. When it comes to just playing around town, I could care less about the gas mileage, just have a little fun Thanks for the responses.

I use 4.30's.. I do 70 at 2000 with 4.30's. So I think you guys should be a little higher than that.. however, this is with 275/40/17 tires.

Peace,
Josh

with my 3.73's at 80mph i was on 2,000rpm's. with my 4.11's at 70mph i'm on 1,800rpm's. i like the 4.11's way better then the 3.73's in every area and with my 6,850rev i still top at 160mph in 5th gear.
