Its called an isolator cup and it is available at a dealer you ask for a T5 cup as T56s are only sold bonded to the offset lever( a much greater swap-out in the trans). You must use an epoxy glue to install it for a T56. Me most sure to clean all the old gle out when installing the new cup.
Got one if your interested.

Well mine was all tore up when i purchased my formula. I had 68k on it when i bought it. I dont know if it was the shifter or the ball. But the shifter would pull up out of the socket when i would try to shift fast. This is on a aftermarket hurst shift which i dont recommend to anyone. Put my pro 5.0 on and a new socket works like a charm now.

mine cracked and broke at about 40,000 miles.
where did I get the replacement part? the ford dealership of all places!
f'n gm would not sell the cup seperately. went to the ford dealer and asked for one for the 6 speed cobra. wham bam thank you mam. problem solved for a 10th the cost GM wanted. putz's.
