I wonder if anybody would build a T-56 with all of the good parts, and straight cut gears. Noise has never been a huge concern of mine.

liberty already makes a line of gears for the t56 transmissions...i have a set in my new trans...well, for it, not in it yet... Daryl at Liberty told me that their gears wont handle anything close to or over 800 RWHP. so i'm thinking i'll be pulling this thing out before to long. i am interested in going to a full clutchless liberty pro stock type trans like in my race car. that would be cool in an fbody all out race car.

According to the July 2001 issue of Hot Rod, the SAM Camaro had a Jerico. This car was one of the first SI F-bodys in the tens.

We are working with liberty directly on making a t56 that will hold between 1200-1300rwhp. Those are the gears he is talking about getting ready to run. If all works well they will be just like the G-Force gears but will have a 300m shaft so it will hold more power. Might be 2 months or so before we have the unit ready to go.

Thanks,
Amber

Got one already. We are going to test it in a viper that makes a little over the posted amount above. If he can not break it now one can

Thanks,
Amber

I am planning on proshifting 2nd and 3rd gears soon and possibly 4th. I have been looking at the Liberty internals for some time now.

The jerico requires modification of the tranny tunnel to fit the external rail shifter. Liberty has made strait cut gears for quite some time for the T56, over a year and a half now. They had some issues initially with gear breakage, but that has been solved.
