Default Skip Shift Problem

My friends are telling me that going from first to forth is going to make my sycronizers bad is this true? I already have C.A.G.S so I can go 1234 but they say 1/3 or 1/4 2/3 2/4 will hurt my tranny//clutch is this true?

I cant imagine why but I have very little knowledge about transmissions so ttt for ya

I have never heard of such a thing. I have done that on many cars for well over 100K miles with no problems...

skipping gears makes for more work from the synchros and this will wear them quicker .Unless you clash when you skip this should not be a big deal. Down shifting is harder on a synchro and skipping on a down is likewise harder on the parts. Over -reving your clutch disc is a bigger problem potential than trans damage/ wear.
