Default Shifter won't go in at high rmp!! What gives?>

This has happened before when I first got my car. Sometimes when hitting the gas hard and speed shifting into 2nd while taking foot off gas just a quick second while shifting, it gets very hard if not impossible to get into 2nd gear! Under normal driving and some aggresive driving its a little harder, but can still shift in.

Now a couple months ago I was racing a mustang for ***** and giggles. Topped out 2nd gear around 5500 and when to speed shift into 3rd gear. Nothing there, pushed clutch in quick and hard, let gas go, shift into 3rd gear, can't go in. Hit the rev limiter by accident b/c I stepped hard on the gas again thinking I got it into 3rd gear. Then I played the game of searching for 3rd gear again.
And of course like an idiot I thought I found 3rd and it was actually 1st!!! Needless to say the car jerked to the side skidding and rpms went up pretty quick, so did my foot on the clutch.

so the big issue is this, high rpm, foot off gas, shift into gear hard, most the time it wont go in, and if it does, pretty difficult. Done this since brand new. Now only has 20kmi for a 2002 WS6.

Is this something to do with the hydraulics, bad syncros?? What could it be?

you might want to look into the drill mod

Sounds like the hydraulics. You should do a search on the drill mod, and look into possibly replacing your master/slave cylinders.

Don't see how the drill mod would help as what I read mentioned that the restriction is to help slow the clutch comming back down, causing it to slip easier. For me, its just that I cannot get the shifter into gear at high rpm.

might have a bad 3rd gear syncro....will it finally go into 3rd gear if the car slows down???
only reason im thinkin this is b/c he never mentioned that his pedal sticks to the floor which is the common problem and for which the drill mod is recommended...not to mention he has a 02 which allready has updated hydraulics.

When the rpm's go down, it will go in gear. Same thing for 2nd. It's been like this ever since new.
