did A4 to M6 swap, what is tube on top of tranny?

Default did A4 to M6 swap, what is tube on top of tranny?

there is some kind of vent tube or something on top of transmission. What is the black thing on top of M6 transmission?

Yup, its a vent tube. Careful not to bend it over on an install( don't want to plug off the vent)

Exactly. It should attach to one of the bellhousing bolts so it is secure.

What happens if vent is plugged off? Has a kind of cap in there. Should I remove that cap? Transmission has been getting hot. Maybe this is why???

if its got a whit plastic cap its fine it has little vents in it

also it does not attach to a bellhousing bolt it just runs up along the body of the tranny

yes has little vents in it. I AM concerned about the heat though. Transmission gets kinda hot when driving. Center console heats up nicely. And if I get done driving, tranmission takes a LONG time to cool down. IS that normal for Manuals? Seems to take longer than my auto did to cool down. WAY longer.

it will take longer to cool down seeing as how all the heat is traped in the gear box, but on an auot you have fluid moving through lines anda cooler to help remove some heat
