Default clutch break in question

is it normal for the engagement of the clutch to get slightly higher on the pedal when the clutch breaks in? i have a powergrip HD and the clutch engaged right off the floor at first. now after 500 miles and no hard driving the clutch seems to engage a bit higher. is this normal? it still grabs hard!!

When I broke in my spec 3, for the first 100 miles it was literally right off the floor, maybe 1-2 inches. By 500 miles it moved to a normal position, about midpoint in the clutch travel.

My new Textralia now has had a midpoint engagement since I put it in, only up to 100 miles yet though.

i have a 98 and when i went up to the LS-6 clutch it even acted the same way. it was about an inch off the floor, felt more like .5 inch. now it has backed up, probably was about 500-1000 miles later.

Hmm I am wondering if this is because of poor bleeding and then after some driving the air works its way out of the system??????

Any comments?

I am having the same prob. I just got my Textralia in and it starts to engage about 1/2" off the floor, literally almost immediately when I let off the clutch pedal.
