reverse grinding after rebuild

Default reverse grinding after rebuild

i just got my transmission rebuilt and now when the transmission gets hot it grinds when i put it in reverse. it never grinded before the rebuild and when the tranny is cold it goes in reverse with no problem. what would cause this?

do you think it was just installed incorrectly?

Grinding happens when the disc is turning. Be sure to wait for the disc to spin down and then shift to reverse. If it does not fully spin down( as I suspect) your prob is in your clutch. The reverse sync. is synchronixed so it should handle some residual spin for a shift but grinding is indicative of more than residual spin. If you have an aftermarket shifter loose the stops as this kind of problem seems to stem from poorly adjsuted stops as well.
