Re: Avg install price for clutches Hey vmoore, crawl under the car with some tools and change it yourself. Its an easy way to save $250. I never did one before until my TA needed a new clutch. I pulled my tranny out 3 times so far. Its not really hard to do but some of the bolts are a PITA to get out.

Re: Avg install price for clutches If I pulled my tranny out I will never be able to get it back in.. I just know how to check minor stuff.. Nothing major.. To me this is major and I do not want to see the look on my gf face if I mess up. First thing she is going to say is why didnt you pay somebody to do that.. <img src="gr_stretch.gif" border="0">

Re: Avg install price for clutches These cars are easier to do a clutch change than my 60's muscle cars. The integral slave/throwout is easier than dinking around with mechanical linkage, clutch forks, etc. If you have a friend who's done a couple of clutches in muscle cars or pickup trucks, have him give you a hand and do it yourself.

Re: Avg install price for clutches hey i used to live about 2.5 hours south of orlando on the west coast of florida. town called port charlotte, fl. as for clutch install, there are so many shops in florida that will do it for cheap. "florida" prices seem to be reasonable, especially in the summertime when the snowbirds are gone! i would not pay over 250 at most!
