Default If you bleed the slave, where does the fluid go?

Just wondering where the bled fluid goes when bleeding the slave? It seems like the only way to get at the bleed valve would be with a deep well socket, which would make it impossible to put a tube on the end of the valve...does the fluid just seep out...? Can someone please clear this up for me?

Thanks

I tried to get a tube on it. Its hard to do since you cant see it. When you open the bleeder, the fluid that comes out goes inside the bellhousing ans ultimately onto the floor.

Thats what I figured...just wanted to make sure...

There isn't any worry of the fluid getting on the clutch disk is there?

I dont think so. When I did mine, there was so much pressure when I opened the bleeder than it blew the wrench off the bleeder and most of the fluid came down the side of the tranny rather than inside the bellhousing.

You ever tried the mighty vac method...I might give that a shot first. I can hardly bleed my brakes properly, this clutch bleed has me worried. All I've heard is that it's a nightmare

The slave bleeder method never worked for me. Fluid just kept coming out and it was making a royal mess. So I used the Mity Vac instead.

Yeah it isn't a big deal. I had my car up on ramps and was underneath it, and thought the fluid was just puddling up in the transmission while I bled it. When I took it off the ramps a crapload of fluid oozed out of the bellhousing...
