launching...clutch slipping???
et streets @ ~20psi - my first time running these...wanted to get comfortable running them
what psi should i run them at???
---------------------------------
dumping the clutch at 3k rpm...first and second gear the et streets are spinning and the rpms climb really fast...when i go to shift into third..it grinds...let the rpms down some and it will shift into 3rd.
carteck clutch..tranny was just rebuilt.
dont have any other problems driving on the streets with it not wanting to shift into gear...only at the track when i dump the clutch.
any ideas?

Well I can tell you tire presure is determined by traction if you aren't getting any try lowering your air presure I usually run @15-17 of course I don't have any traction either, but a lot of that is due to the suspension setup not adj right. I know my friend Sal runs @ 12psi for his car. The trany issues I can't answer for sure I would just be guessing. Good luck.

And on a side note..... your video with you VS the supra..... is it up anwhere anymore?? i cant find a working link to save it..... if ya can PM me the link or a copy to my email and ill host it 4 ya.

Ernest..
Your not being able to shift into 3rd is more of a Hydrolic Clutch problem than anything else.. Your Master Cylinder cannot handle the fast speeds of shifting at the track.. I did a write up on the Hydrolic setup of F-bodys, let me know if you want it..
20psi.. Moving up in the world.. Hope your car is doing well.. Did RMCR do the car again? Any dyno info or current setup info? Just wondering..
Take care.

I'm going to assume you meant 20PSI on the ET Streets and not the TTi kit yet?
You'll probably want to start around 15-16PSI as a better point to get comfortable with the tires. The top end movement shouldn't be too bad at that PSI.
Then pull .5PSI out hot until you see your 60' stop getting better at the targeted clutch dump RPM. I wouldn't bother to go below 13psi on those tires though until you get a 2-step in there because you won't pickup a lot of 60' without one.

So dont dump the clutch..
IMHO wheel hop or other driveline load during the dump makes it harder to take the tq of the gears in order to shift.
Think about how NLTS no lift to shift works... Dumping a cluthc esp with traction is'nt nice to the trans or anything else connected after it.. Use the box to break loose and do your burn out... quick Slip the clutch dont dump or sidestep... It will be quicker down the track and the driveline will be happy w/o the shock loading... The big tube frame boys have entirely different slipper clutches for a reason.
