Default UMI short shifter

At install university they have the install for Lous Short Stick, but I have the UMI short stick. Would the install be the same? and, if so, how hard would the install be for a 17 year old with 0 mechanical ability following the directions on InstallUniversity? Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated...

Yes, install is the same. Very easy to install, even for a beginner!

Wow! Install university makes it WAAAAAAY harder than it actually is. You don't have to remove the entire center console like that. All you have to do it unscrew the shift ****, remove the leather boot around the shifter, (it has little tabs that pull right out) unscrew 2 screws, put the knew shift handle in, put back together. It takes all of 5 friggin minutes.
