What manual transmission is in a 98 camaro?

i belive its the t56 and its the same one in all the other camaros. And all the vettes to this day. Now if you are talking about a 5 speed v6 i can't help you out there. Hope i'm somewhat right.

it's the six speed. thats what i was thinking but wasn't sure.

The only 6 speed used in a Camaro was/the T56. Base cars( v6s) used a 5 speed T5 for the 3rd a &4th GEN cars. Not too sure what boxes went in the 1st & 2nd gen cars( muncie 4 speeds I think)
Corvettes used a ZF 6 speed in the C4 cars but all C5 & C6 cars use the T56 6 speed.
