Default LS6 clutch question...

Just a few questions...

first off I had a spec stg 3 in there blew it went kaboom.... anyway when I installed the z06 clutch I left the shim in that spec gave me.... is this gonna cause a problem later on for me ? I doubt it....

another thing what is the break in for an organic clutch... 500 miles of city driving under 3.5K rpm sounds about right......

thanks

Hey all,

I don't know about your shim but...
Will a Z06 clutch go right in without a problem? I was just quoted $800 parts and labor including new GM LS1 Z06 clutch kit and new '01 SS master and slave cyl. Is this a reasonable price?

Also, will a lightweight alum flywheel add logevity to new clutch?

i guess its not that bad seeing how a slave is roughly $120 and the kit costs roughly $370 and the master is prob. another 100 so ya its not bad.....

but how about you not highjack my thread.... hahah
