Can't go wrong with either a Pro5.0 or the B&M. It's just a matter of how it feels for you.

Try getting a short stick (either lous or the UMI) for the stock hurst, I got the UMI, and it was a night and day difference.
Give it a shot, it may suit you fine, but if you don't like it you can always resell it (it's alot cheaper than a full shifter)
The hurst isn't bad, it's just saddled with the stock stick and its rubber isolater that makes the shifter feel like stirring a bucket of rocks with a stick

Consider that the Pro5.0 and B&M (not sure of other aftermarket shifters) have built in stops which saves the tranny's internal stops.

I say just get a short stick of some sort first, and see if that gives you the results you want. Either way, if you stay with the Hurst or move on to a Pro 5.0.... you will definitely still want a short stick.

I considered moving onto a pro 5.0 from my factory hurst, but I decided to try a UMI short stick first. Night and day difference, and now I am definitely not moving on. It only cost me $25 bucks for the Short stick.... the way I see it is that it saved me $125, cause now I dont have to buy a new shifter.

I went with the B&M ripper from summitt for two reasons 1:A little cheaper and 2:Where I live I could get it before the next weekend!
The B&M can be moved about a 1\4 inch forward or back . I don't know about the others.
